TD-107 Oil Content Monitor Specifications

The TD-107 Fluorescence Oil Content Monitor (OCM) is a 5 ppm or 15 ppm bilge alarm for oily water separators based on fluorescence detection technology. The TD-107 Oil Content Monitor is fully certified by the US Coast Guard for use under IMO MEPC 107(49). Fluorescence makes the TD-107 immune to interferences by turbidity or particles/sediments in the bilge which impact competing "light scatter" oil content monitors. Because silt / algae / iron oxide and other particles do not fluoresce at oil's wavelength, they cannot interfere as a 'false positive' high alarm that will keep the oily water separator in recirculation mode without ever pumping down the oily waste holding tanks.

In the United States territorial waters, the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) limits the discharge of oil and grease in bilge water to 15 ppm, measured by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) oil and grease measurement method. The USCG further limits bilge water and oily discharges that cause a visible sheen on the water. Bilge water discharges in international waters are limited to 15 ppm by the International Maritime Organization (IMO). Ship operators who violate the discharge limits are subject to large fines by the jurisdictional authority. Please contact NAG Marine for additional classification society approvals.
TD107 Operation ManualThe TD-107 Fluorescence Oil Content Monitor is low-maintenance, "sailor friendly", and ruggedized for the shipboard environment. Click the thumbnail to download the TD-107 Oil Content Monitor Operation Manual. Simple instructions for maintenance, installation, cleaning, setup, wiring, data download, and verification are included in the manual. Easy hookup to the oily water separator and quick disconnect for future calibration are explained. NAG Marine highly recommends that all operators read this manual before operating the TD-107 Fluorescence Oil Content Monitor.
TD-107 Oil Content Monitor SpecificationsThe TD-107 Fluorescence Oil Content Monitor comes equipped with IMO MEPC 107(49) required data logger and can be customized to show system trends. The oil content monitor features self-compensating electronics that corrects for fouling of the sample cell, along with a cell condition monitor to alert crew when sample cell cleaning is required. The TD-107 Fluorescence Oil Content Monitor includes standard alarm relays and 4-20mA output for remote monitoring, along with user-friendly USB data port for review of 23 months of recorded oil content monitor / oily water separator discharge levels over time. The TD-107 Fluorescence Oil Content Monitor is essential for staying in true compliance with IMO MEPC 107(49).
TD-107 General Arrangement DrawingsThe TD-107 Fluorescence Oil Content Monitor was designed with a Universal Power Supply and can be retrofit to virtually any new or old Oily Water Separator. The TD-107 Fluorescence Oil Content Monitor can be used at the primary 15ppm bilge alarm on Oily Water Separators certified either under the old IMO MEPC 60(33) requirement or the newer IMO MEPC 107(49) requirement. Standard alarm relays and 4-20mA output allow it to control the OWS PLC and also be incorporated into a Machinery Control System. The TD-107 Oil Content Monitor also features an optional 'quick disconnect' feature for easy swap out for calibration.
